Is our current altharythms violating the first amendment.
This episode truly makes you think! The question it will lead you to is simple: Is our current way of getting information being censored? While speaking with Mr. Rene, I couldn’t help but think about something I was told. Even our founding fathers knew that the most crucial power is information. This is why our First Amendment was freedom of speech. Not the right to bear arms. Algorithms, paid rankings, and other factors can easily hide the information available to us. The results still show that your thought of doing research and making an educational decision could be more controlled than you think. By showing results that pay more, they control what you see first. If your not truly researching and searching past the first page of items, than how do you know your making the best educational decision? Do you think that pushing content so far down in the search results becouse the source paid less or did not pay anything to google or other search engines. My question to you is this, Do you think controlling the information based off advertising budgets and not focus more on matches to content requests is a form of Censorship.
