Support Combat Mind Readiness

Our Soldiers receive no proactive training to prepare for the mental toll of combat. PTSD destroys lives long after the battlefield. Together, we can change this. Join me in demanding proactive psychological training so our troops are prepared for both the seen and unseen battles.

Combat Mind Readiness: Training the Brain for Combat

Every soldier is trained to fight. Few are trained to endure what comes after.

Combat Mind Readiness challenges the way we prepare our warriors, showing that the greatest battles are not only fought on the battlefield, but within the mind. Drawing on insights from sports psychology, Special Operations training, and two decades of combat experience, Donald Dunn argues that mental preparation before trauma is the missing link in military readiness.

This book is not about replacing treatment — it’s about reducing the need for it. By embedding psychological fitness into training, we can build soldiers who are stronger, more resilient, and less likely to face PTSD, suicide, or emotional breakdowns after returning home.

If we can prepare athletes to handle the pressures of the game, we can prepare soldiers to face the weight of war.
